Soft Tissue Fillers
There are many types of fillers. These are either temporary or permanent. The main temporary fillers contain hyaluronic acid that already exists in the skin. These include the hyaluronic acid fillers, such as Restylane®, Refyne®, Juvederm®, or Belotero®.
Such fillers can provide a more youthful appearance by “filling” in areas of fat loss that make for an older look. Additionally, fillers can be used to lessen the appearance of scars, such as those due to acne.
At Parish Dermatology, we only use temporary fillers, which we consider to be the safest. These enable us to adjust our treatment over time. This is opposed to permanent fillers which have permanent problems, as they do not adapt to facial changes that occur over time. Call us today.
Neuromodulators
Neuromodulators, such as Botox® and Dysport®, can effectively reduce the appearance of wrinkles, especially those around the eyes, on the forehead, and between the eyebrows. Injection of a neuromodulator makes the lines smoother and less noticeable. It is a relatively quick procedure, but most of all, it is a nonsurgical option.
